LAST Friday week’s hunters’ chase meeting at Stratford proved very successful for Irish riders and for horses bred in this country with the Colin McBratney-trained Quiet Account leading the way when landing the pointtopoint.co.uk Champion Novice Hunters’ Chase under usual rider Noel McParlan.

The eight-year-old Jimble gelding runs in the colours of Co Down’s Frances Savage who really loves her horses and is delighted that Quiet Account has stepped into the shoes of Sole Witness who retired last year. Friday’s winner, who has five point-to-point victories to his credit, was bred in Northern Ireland by Christine Wilson out of the Kemal mare Celia’s Pet, a half-sister to the 11-time track winner By The Way (by Proverb).
