THERE were two northern-connected winners at the Curragh last weekend, the victory of the Killian Leonard-partnered Blairmayne in the six-furlong handicap on Saturday ensuring plenty of publicity for his trainer Natalia Lupini.

Born in Italy but based in Gilford, Lupini purchased the now six-year-old Zebedee gelding at the 2015 breeze-up sale in Goresbridge for €17,000. The bay, who runs in the colours of the Raintree Racing Partnership, has won four races in total as well as finishing second three times and third three times.
