THIS week’s review of the British point-to-point season goes back to last Tuesday week, May 30th when the Border Hunt held a meeting at Hexham where six of the seven winners were Irish-bred.

Among them were a short-priced pair ridden by Sam Davies-Thomas who brought up his double in the club members’ race on the Tom Morgan-trained Lough Inch, the 10-year-old Jimble gelding scoring for the 18th time between the flags in 23 starts.
