WE hear enough about racing not getting much TV attention so it was a welcome change to see a primetime slot given over by the BBC to a three-part feature shot at Down Royal where, we were told, racing has taken place since the 17th century (and hopefully for a few decades more).

The Horsey Set was probably not well-named because, far from just ‘horsey’ people, it showed that everyone and anyone can enjoy and participate in a day at the races.
