“THIS has been a fabulous year for Jamie and all the family are immensely proud of him,” replied Wexford trainer William Codd when asked to comment on his brother’s feat of recording his 800th success between the flags at Dromahane last Sunday. “This is just the latest achievement in a year which saw him champion rider for the second time, becoming a dad and also getting a new job with Tattersalls Ireland,” continued William, who was at the Goresbridge Go For Gold Sales of event horses in Barnadown and the Amber Springs Hotel on Wednesday.

Codd has sent out one winner (Flabello) from 10 runners this season and has four horses entered over the two meetings at Tattersalls and Glenbane tomorrow. The home track of Lingstown had to be postponed because of the prevailing ground conditions; it will now be run on Sunday, December 18th.
