IT was good to see Victor Robinson’s colours carried to victory on Monday at Ayr as Glenbank King defied his starting price of 50/1 to beat the gambled-on Guitar Pete (3/1) and the Keith Watson-trained Shamar (33/1) by a short-head and one and a half lengths.

Ridden by Graham Lee and trained near Maralin by Lee Smyth, the nine-year-old Glenbank King is by Desert King and was bred by Victor out of Miss Glenbank.
