THE equine veterinary scene in Northern Ireland is all the poorer today as Alan Dunlop left early this morning to take up a position as veterinary officer with the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
“I had a couple of intense interviews over the internet earlier in the year and was then invited out in June for face-to-face talks,” Alan related this week. “At the end of that visit, I was offered the job by the HKJC’s chief executive officer, Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges.
