WITH today’s scheduled Iveagh meeting at Maralin postponed until April 9th because of ground conditions, it’s a quiet weekend on the point-to-point front with just the North Kilkenny fixture at Ballyragget running in opposition to Liscarroll tomorrow.

The best supported race at Ballyragget is the opening five-year-old geldings’ maiden at 1.30pm which has attracted an entry of 25. There are 19 horses listed in the Connolly’s Red Mills open including last year’s winner, the Shark Hanlon-trained Luska Lad. Others who catch the eye here include the long-absent Adamstown, the mares Carrigeen Acebo and Maple Mons and the recent Tetratema Cup winner Marasonnien who is trained by Willie Mullins.
