DOWNPATRICK’s Caoilin Quinn partnered a winner on the first of just two rides as an amateur and got his career as a professional off to the perfect start as well on Monday week when landing the bumper at Fakenham on his first ride as a conditional jockey.

Both winners were supplied by the 19-year-old’s boss Warren Greatrex, Monday’s 13-length success at the Norfolk track coming on the racecourse newcomer Bill Baxter who had finished a length second in a four-year-old maiden at Moira in October.
