THIS week’s Fasig-Tipon breeze-up sale in Florida posted significant gains on last year’s figures. The one-day sale saw 66 horses sold at an average price of $327,000 – a jump of 45% on the 2015 sale. There were 31% buybacks, down from 33%.

Four horses broke the $1 million mark. Top price paid was $1.8 million for a grey son of Tapit out of a Giant’s Causeway mare.
