It was a race to savour in every sense and how the crowd on the day appreciated the spectacle. It was worth every effort to be present.

It and the Lexus Chase were just two highlights of what was an outstanding few days of racing and it was especially pleasing that most of the standout races of the holiday period were being staged in Ireland. We do not see as many British-trained runners in Ireland as we should given the levels of prize money on offer for our graded programme.
