ON another evening to savour for Jessica Harrington’s juvenile team Free Solo became the trainer’s first two-year-old colt to win this year with an impressive display in the Frank Conroy Irish EBF Maiden over a mile. This grandson of Six Perfections looked altogether sharper as a result of his debut outing at Naas earlier in the month and he made the running for Shane Foley. Yankee Stadium tried to move upsides the Niarchos Family-owned colt early in the straight but he was soon brushed aside as Free Solo (4/1) found another gear to score by five lengths.

“He learnt a lot from Naas and he was a different horse today. His experience stood to him and I’d say he’ll go for the Listed Coolmore Caravaggio Stakes at Tipperary on August 11th,” declared the trainer.
