GERMANY’s Ingrid Klimke added yet another championship title to her amazing CV when winning the CCI2*-L for six-year-olds at the World Breeding Championships for Young Event Horses in Le Lion d’Angers last Sunday on board the Westphalian mare Cascamara.

The reigning European champion went into the final show jumping phase in the silver medal position on the Cascadello II bay but was left to claim gold when Britain’s Tom McEwen, who had led the 38-runner class from early on Thursday morning, had two fences down and dropped to sixth with the Irish Sport Horse gelding, MHS Brown Jack (34.6).
