LOCAL Wexford-based connections dominated proceedings as the Wexford Foxhounds unveiled a new course at Knockmullen House just outside of New Ross last Sunday. Sean Doyle led the way, ending the day with a double.

Unlucky Tinahely final fence faller The Forge Hill (2 - 6/4 favourite) was the first to return victorious for the Ballingaggin-based Doyle, when she ran out an easy winner of the adjacent mares’ maiden. The daughter of Morozov was never too far off pace under Jordan Gainford and led for much of the contest, before quickening clear entering the straight to see off Brazen Bay by 10 lengths.
