AMONG those to record their first international victory at last week’s Sema Lease Kilguilkey House International was Susana Mullen who completed on her winning dressage score (27.8 penalties) in the Global Event Horses CCI1*-Intro.

Mullen’s successful mount was the very experienced 16-year-old bay gelding Miracle who her father Tom leased from the Hayden family in March. Set to start Sixth Year next term at Loreto Navan, Mullen (17) began competing under Eventing Ireland rules at EI90 level in 2018 on Garrybritt Twinkle with whom she moved up into EI100 Junior shortly after the beginning of the 2019 season. She had no horse to event last year and was having just her fourth start, her second out of the training ranks, on Miracle last week when making her international debut.
