Wrynn landed the second Stepping Stones qualifier on Fiona O’Reilly’s striking chesnut in April but then had to hand over the mount to Ashe when he was sidelined with a shoulder injury. She is only now coming to grips with the horse.

“He is class and really stands out!” enthused Ashe. “He’s got loads of power from behind and I have to cling on to the neckstrap. I couldn’t believe how soft it was in the Derby arena but he’s very confident in himself and took it all in his stride to go clear. He’ll probably do one or two more qualifiers and, if not sold, may do a couple of events after Dublin.”
