JACK Foley (right) had a big day in his burgeoning career at Kilbeggan when securing a treble. The young Carlow man teamed up with in-form trainer Tom Mullins for two of his wins. Canford Light delivered when running out a convincing winner of the second division of the Coola Maiden Hurdle. The Canford Cliffs gelding kicked on before the last in the two-miler and despite a slight mistake at the final flight the 6/4 shot pulled clear for a six-length win over Mind Your Money.
“He could go to Galway and he’s also in the sales at Doncaster. He’s a summer type of horse but he could run away up until Christmas,” said Mullins.
