A SCHEDULED three days of racing in the JRA had been planned for the weekend of October 12-14th. However, the destruction Typhoon Hagibis caused in areas of Japan forced racing in Tokyo to be cancelled on both Saturday and Sunday only to resume on Monday.

The weekend’s headline race, the Group 1 Shuka Sho run at Kyoto Racecourse remained unaffected by the inclement weather with western Japan bearing the brunt.
