THERE was little time for members of the Irish Pony Club, and their parents, to relax following the Festival at Barnadown as two qualifiers for the Connolly’s Red Mills/IPC eventing championships were held over the extended weekend, the first at Frankfort Stud on Sunday.

The hosts were the Island Branch who filled the first three places in the sole Intermediate class with the winner being Brooke Carey who led from start to finish on the 11-year-old chesnut gelding Oakfield Siberita (25.8 penalties). Lauren Spencer finished second on Kyle Lad (26.5) with Angelica McGee placing third on Abbeybrook Aurora (27.8).
