It’s worth noting that Leading Light has won three races over ten furlongs or less, earning ratings as big as 38 from me. In this race he ran the last 10 furlongs faster than they went in the one-mile shorter Ribblesdale Stakes.

I can see why Leading Light has been entered in the King George, the Arc and the Irish Champion Stakes. He probably lacks the turn of foot needed to win the King George and the manoeuvrability for the Arc. So if the attempt is to be made to boost his stud value with a top level win over a shorter distance I reckon the Irish Champion Stakes could well be the best option.
