AFTER months of planning, training and organising a band of Irish amateur eventers caught the ferry at Rosslare with three loaded lorries to embark on the journey to Aldon International Horse Trials.

There were six Irish competitors in the three-day BE100 class which acts as a qualifier for the Badminton Grassroots championship, with one rider aiming for the top spot in the BE100 open class for horses who have accumulated points.
