Five combinations have already met the WEG qualification standard; James Connor (Casino Royal), Anna Merveldt (Vancouver), Dane Rawlins (Sydney), Judy Reynolds (Vancouver K) and Roland Tong (Pompidou).

Horse Sport Ireland's dressage high performance committee will meet next week to select the four combinations to represent Ireland at the games. Committee chairman Joan Keogh said: “Together with having a pony team at European Championships this year we hope that having a team at WEG will give increased exposure to dressage in Ireland and encourage more young people to take up the sport.”
