TIPPERARY’s Thomas Ryan and Co Louth’s Mark McAuley both picked up a win and multiple placings at the one and two-star show in Gorla Minore, Italy, last weekend.

French-based McAuley was first off the mark with a win in Saturday’s seven-year-old Table A class. Riding Monsieur Laurent Guillet’s Selle Français gelding Al Capone Massuere (Nabbuco x Come On), he posted a blistering round in 59.08 seconds. Ryan was eighth with Alcapone des Carmille (Diamant de Semilly x Heartbreaker) in a time of 71.37 seconds.
