KILDARE native Mikey Pender continued his recent good form last weekend in Oliva, Spain, as he secured victory in the last class of the day on Thursday, the two-star 1.40m (Gold Tour).

Riding the Irish Sport Horse mare HHS Fortune (Catoki x Ard VDL Douglas), bred by Marion Hughes, he took the win with the fastest of 21 clear rounds in a time of 28.85. Pender delivered another good performance on Saturday afternoon in the Gold Tour 1.45m. In a starting field of 60, he slotted into third with HHS Calais, when clear in a time of 37.15 to earn €3,825. Taking the win was German rider Richard Vogel and Lesson Peak, in a time of 35.38.
