Breen victory

TIPPERARY’s Trevor Breen won a two-star 1.35m in Valkenswaard last Tuesday with Millie Mason’s Lord Luidam when fastest of the double clears in 38.94. Michael G Duffy added to the Irish haul when he partnered SIEC Captain Future Z into third place in the 1.45m big tour, when clear in 65.58. Duffy was just over three seconds behind the winner, Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano and Carlotta (62.18). On Wednesday, Breen was pipped at the post in the 1.45m, when he crossed the line aboard Serpico in a time of 35.99. Victory went to Belgian rider Jeroen Appelen aboard Grappeloup van het Reenhof, who was fractions ahead in a time of 34.83. Further down the line in sixth was Michael G Duffy and SIEC Captain Future Z.
