Two-star win for Harry Allen

WEXFORD’s young rider Harry Allen won a two-star 1.45m jump-off class in Wierdan, The Netherlands, last Thursday. Riding Ballywalter Farms’ Izzy by Picobello, Allen was among seven of the starting 50 to make it through to the jump-off. He broke the beam in a time of 32.42 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding to win €6,250. The pair then went on to finished runners-up in Sunday’s Grand Prix when producing one of five double clear rounds. Their time of 34.99 was fractionally slower than Dutch winner Remco Been and Holland vd Bisschop (0/0 34.79).
