DERRY’s Daniel Coyle (22) brought his 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival to a spectacular end when he lodged no less than four international wins and a second place finish in the four-star Grand Prix at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Centre last week.

The Derry native kicked-off what turned out to be memorable week when he claimed the $20,000 Spy Coast Farm seven-year-old developing junior classic. Riding Sue and Ariel Grange’s Farona, a clear in a time of 38.46 seconds proved good enough for victory, with USA’s Mario Deslauriers on Cooper Royal fractions behind in 38.47, ahead of Ramiro Quintana of Argentina with Ceitasi in 38.986.
