FOLKE Rohrssen’s recent victory in the CAI2* horse pairs’ competition at the Sandringham driving trials in Norfolk, England was easily his best individual result this year and follows success at a similar level at Hopetoun, Scotland in 2014.
At Sandringham, the Cahir veterinary surgeon introduced the six-year-old Gustaaf to international dressage, teaming him up with the experienced Turbo, a fellow Gerlander gelding. That 17-year-old and the Hungarian-bred 10-year-old gelding Kilcoran Popeye were driven by Rohrssen in the other two phases.
