Moloney fourth in
Paderborn Grand Prix

WATERFORD’S Peter Moloney finished fourth in the three-star Grand Prix on Paderborn in Germany last Sunday. Riding Team Harmony’s 13-year-old gelding Sassicaia Ares, he was among 13 combinations to make it through to the jump-off in the 1.55m class. The combination produced a second clear round in 39.55 seconds, one of 11 double clear rounds, to finish fourth and earn €7,500. Victory went to Germany’s Nisse Luneburg and Luca Toni 27 (0/0 39.02). Co Clare’s Eoin McMahon was also in action at the venue and he finished fifth in Saturday’s 1.50m aboard Ludger Beerbaum Stables GmbH’s nine-year-old My Kiwi. The combination were one of five double clears in the 17-horse jump-off to earn €2,100.
