THERE was another mammoth weekend of international eventing in Britain last weekend as Bicton held a jam packed event which saw the best horses from a number of countries run as selectors edge closer to picking their teams for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games.

British riders once again showed the rest of the world just how strong they are by dominating both the long and short format four-star competitions, while Austin O’Connor held his own when best of the Irish in a very credible 10th place in the CCI4*-S, which had 107 starters.
