IT was an all-Irish podium in the $25,000 Tryon Resort Grand Prix at Tryon, North Carolina, last Saturday night, with Sligo’s Darragh Kerins taking victory and third place, while Brian Murphy finished second.

Five of the starting 15 made it through to the jump-off, where just four produced clear rounds and, when last to go, Kerins was best aboard nine-year-old Skara Glen’s Para Bellum, breaking the beam in 38.60 seconds. The gelding is owned by Hampton Farms LLC, Patricia Hurter and Skara Glen Stables, and has been under Kerins’ command for just over a year.
