JACK Ryan won the Grand Prix at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club in the UAE last Saturday. He guided the nine-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding BBS McGregor (VDL Cardento x Mark Twain xx), bred by his mother Marguerite Ryan, to the top place, ahead of Britain’s Georgia Tame with another Irish Sport Horse, the Marion Huges-bred Z7 Ascot (Nonstop x Voltaire).

In Wellington, Florida, the first international Grand Prix of the 2021 Winter Equestrian Festival took place and it was USA’s ultra-experienced Bezzie Madden who claimed the top spot in the $137,000 three-star class.
