IRISH riders were in good form at Spruce Meadows five-star show in Canada with a series of impressive results being recorded. In the 1.50m Cargill Cup, Daniel Coyle finished fourth with Farona when clear in 33.32, just ahead of Capt Brian Cournane in fifth with DHS Charly (35.13).

Coyle also recorded a runner-up finish in the Canadian Utilities U25 1.45m with Farrel, clear in 44.03. Winners of the class were the USA’s Daisy Farish and Great White (43.38). On Sunday, Coyle was back in the ribbons, taking third with Farona in the 1.50m class when delivering a foot perfect round in 76.70. Victory went to America’s Richard Spooner and Arthos R in 73.91.
