IRISH dressage rider Heike Holstein enjoyed a successful weekend at the four-star German show in Dortmund when scoring an international personal best score and achieving her first qualifying score for the 2019 FEI European Championships.

On Friday, in only their third international big tour outing as a combination, the reigning Irish national champion and her 10-year old home-bred Irish Sport Horse mare Sambuca, who was the youngest horse in the class, scored an overall total of 68.21%, including individual scores of 68.04% from German FEI international five-star judge Peter Holler and 67.82% from French FEI international five-star judge Dr Jean Michel Roudier.
