TIPPERARY’s Shane Breen won the two-star Grand Prix in Keysoe, Britain, with Team Z7’s Can Ya Makan last Thursday, ahead of Billy Twomey and the traditional Irish Sport Horse stallion Ardcolum Duke.

Fresh from a third place finish in the Hickstead Derby, the 12-year-old Canturo-sired stallion was the best of the six-horse jump-off in a time of 35.92 seconds to win just over €8,000. Billy Twomey slotted into second place with Joe Flynn’s 14-year-old stallion Ardcolum Duke (Gypsy Duke x Clover Hill), in a time of 36.44 seconds.
