A FIRM favourite with Irish riders, the Autumn Mediterranean Tour saw the Irish contingent make their presence felt last week. Best of the Irish in the Grand Prix on Sunday was Waterford’s Madelaine Gervais, who took fourth place in the 1.40m Grand Prix with Ms Clinton. The combination was one of only five double clears in 39.44.

Gervais and Ms Clinton also put in a very strong performance in the 1.35m, finishing in eventual fourth, when recording a clear in 74.66. Gervais was one of only 11 clears in a 40-combination class. Gervais also took seventh in the 1.30m aboard Estrella de La Pomme, clear in 66.72.
