DERRY’s Daniel Coyle finished second in the first Grand Prix of the 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival on Sunday at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Centre in Wellington, Florida, riding Farrel.

A total of 37 competitors lined out in the first round of Eric Hasbrouck’s $75,000 Rosenbaum PLLC Grand Prix, with just six returning with a clear round to progress to the jump-off. Switzerland’s Beat Mändli was first to go against the clock aboard Grant Road Partners LLC’s Simba and their time of 37.53 was good enough to secure victory.
