DERRY’s Daniel Coyle scooped $45,000 when galloping to victory in the three-star $137,000 ESI Footing Grand Prix in Tryon, North Carolina, last weekend.

Riding Ariel Grange’s 11-year-old mare Legacy (Chippendale Z x Bon Ami), Coyle was best of 11 riders against the clock, posting the fastest of seven clear rounds in 34.68 seconds. He beat USA’s Ali Wolff and Casall into second place (35.67), while Brazil’s Santiago Lambre slotted into third with Comtess 202 (35.95).
