DESPITE a gallant to rule in the King’s Cup, Derry’s Daniel Coyle and Oak Groves’ Carlyle had to settle for the runner-up spot in the 1.55m jump-off class last Saturday.

The combination were one of just three double clears in a time of 37.83. Also in the top five was Galway’s Michael Duffy who took fifth with RMF Charly when they recorded four faults in 35.93. In ninth place was David Simpson and Foudre F, fastest of the four-faulters in the first round.
