WITH the FEI World Equestrian Games in North Carolina just five months away, the organising team at the Tryon International Equestrian Centre staged their official eventing test event last weekend. Run as a CIC3*, the fixture attracted a quality field of 36 runners, made up largely by riders from the USA and Canada. A competitive class in its own right, it produced a polished winner in Philip Dutton and Z, while importantly delivering a valuable insight of how things may be in September.
