LIMERICK show jumper Shane Carey enjoyed a number of leading placings at the two-star Baltica Summer Tour in Ciekocinko, Poland, including a runner-up finish in the 1.45m Grand Prix.
Riding the 12-year-old KWPN gelding Boomerang (Orlando x Lux Z), Carey was one of 19 combinations to make it through to the competitive jump-off class. Seven of those managed to produce a second clear against the clock and Carey’s time of 39.78 was only slower than Britain’s Ben Maher.
