A BAN of up to 10 years was the prospect facing Hughie Morrison after an inconsequential filly, named Our Little Sister, tested positive for nandrolone and its major metabolite in her system. Ahead of her run at Wolverhampton in January she had finished second once in seven outings, and appeared to be a filly who was regressing.

At the races she was the subject of a random test and, following the positive finding, her trainer appeared to be in some difficulty. He protested his innocence, arguing vehemently that he was the subject of a malicious act. Few believe that Morrison would have risked his career by committing this act himself.
