LAST week the 12 Godolphin Flying Start trainees for the 2021-2023 programme were named. One third of the new intake, from six different countries, will be joining this prestigious two-year programme having graduated from the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Management Course.

Three of the quartet, Ireland’s Shéa Connolly, Elinor Wolf from the USA and Australia’s Lachlan Pethica, are in the final weeks of their six-month stint at Tully, while Britain’s Margaux Herinckx was the star pupil on the course in 2018 when she was awarded the coveted gold medal.
