KATIE Walsh's ride on Wonderful Charm in the Randox Health Grand National on Saturday was in some doubt Thursday afternoon after she was taken to hospital after a fall in the Foxhunters' Chase.

Walsh, who finished third in the 2012 National on Seabass, was unseated from Distime at The Chair, the third fence, and appeared to be kicked by another horse as she lay on the ground.

She was stretchered from the course into an ambulance and taken to hospital.

Early reports suggested that she may have broken an arm, but Walsh later tweeted: "All x-rays clear! Just a bit of bruising roll on Saturday."

Paul Nicholls, trainer of Wonderful Charm, has said that should Walsh be unable to ride on Saturday then Nick Scholfield will deputise.

The horse is currently quoted at around 33/1 for the Grade 3 feature.
