THE Irish Equine Centre has not recorded any cases of sycamore seed poisoning in horses this autumn but experts advised horse owners not to drop their guard against the deadly equine disease.

Sycamore seed poisoning cases reached an all-time high last year with the Irish Equine Centre in Co Kildare dealing with over 120 fatal cases in horses and ponies. So far this autumn, no cases of the fatal muscle disease have been recorded by the IEC.
