THE sporting village of Moyne in Co Tipperary was our venue for Sunday’s meet of the Suir Vale Harriers. The village sports a world class athletics and running track, partially as a result of Lisheen Mines which, up to very recently, was the major employer in the area. The mine is now closed but has been replaced with a huge wind farm with more than 30 turbines feeding in to the national grid.
