LOCAL rider Alex Houston made a winning return to the saddle on Saturday when landing the CNC* star class at Maddybenny with her Clover Echo mare Skyfall Echo.

Houston, who graduated as a civil engineer from Queen’s University last June but is now working full-time with horses, suffered ligament damage when a youngster reared up and fell down with her before the first Tyrella event last month.
