IN early October I read an article by an academic from UCD with the strapline ‘Clean air more important than clean hands’. Unsurprisingly it was about controlling the spread of Covid-19.

I hoped and was convinced until near the end that it had been written by a colleague from the vet school. My bad, Orla Hegarty is an architect. But the principle applies. I still remember a teacher of mine at vet school telling us ‘The solution to pollution is dilution!’
