BEAUTY ONLY, bred in Ireland by Italian Massimo Parri, won the Group 2 Bochk Wealth Management Jockey Club Mile last weekend, his ninth career success and adding to previous wins in the Hong Kong Classic Mile and this year’s Chairman’s Trophy. He has also been Group 1 placed and he started his career in Italy where he raced as Gentleman Only.

Sold for €72,000 as a yearling in Italy, he has now won more than HK$20 million and needless to say the five-year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor is the best of seven winners, all her runners, from the Ali-Royal mare Goldendale. She was placed in the USA. Another big update to this family in 2016 was the success of Beauty Only’s half-brother Dee Dee D’Or, by Zebedee, in the Listed Premio Emanuele Filiberto and he was runner-up in a Group 2 race. He has now won twice and been placed from just three starts.
