THE Corrigan family hosted the Horse Sport Ireland mares’ eventing championships at Lisgarvan House last Sunday and, while there was a good turn-out for the five-year-old class, there was only a handful of entries for the six-year-old division in spite of more older mares being registered with Eventing Ireland.

Sadly, because of the death of his mother Eileen, Steven Smith had to withdraw his two rides in the six-year-old championship leaving three mares to fight out the spoils.
